The subwoofers have satellite amps built in that can drive the 2x15 speakers at 200w. I also plan to purchase a DBX Driverack PA2. Specifically, this package: ġ8 inch powered subwoofer (800w RMS) (x2)Ģx15 passive tower speaker rated at 700w RMS (x2) I've been heavily considering a Seismic Audio system.

SEISMAC AUDIO UPGRADE

I'm looking to upgrade our PA considerably, but I don't have a ton of cash on hand. Our powered EV's can't handle the whole band running through them in these situations, mostly in the low end. In both of these situations, we need to provide a PA. Lately, we've been booking shows outdoors and also at larger bars that don't have a PA. When we need to bring a PA, it has historically been for smaller venues where we could get away without micing up guitars or drums. In most of the larger bars / venues, a PA is provided for us. We've been playing out for the better part of a year. I'm in a 5 piece indie rock / pop band (2 guitars, bass guitar, drums, vocals).ĮV ZLX12P Powered speakers (250w RMS) (x2)

SEISMAC AUDIO SERIES

The Jolt series packs tons of punch! With your purchase, you will receive two 10" steel frame speaker as pictured and described above. Here's my situation. Great for upgrading your existing cabinets or building you own. The Jolt™ series are awesome woofers that produce deep lows and clear tones. Whether you are building your own bass guitar cabinet or replacing an old woofer, this 10" speaker woofer is what you need. Olt™-10 - (Pair) 10" Bass Guitar Speaker Woofer 200 W RMS does anyone know what the x-max is on these? Oh, and for a $30 cab + $100 in speakers, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. The cab's dimensions get pretty close to what Emminence says is optimal for a ported cab. They DO NOT handle the low B well though.įor keeping it mainly as a home jam rig, I think it will be great. You can hear tone variances that just weren't there with the SA speakers. The replacements are far more articulate. Handled the low B wonderfully however.ĭisclaimer, it was being used with a behringer head that I sold before using the new speakers, so this may not be the best comparison, since I tested the emminence speakers with a TC electronics head. Not that it was terrible, but probably worth the $160 price tag. You could eq the heck out of them, and the sound would change, but they just weren't very articulate. With the "stock" speakers, it seemed to be lacking in tone, or character of what was being played. So I happened to see a pair of Emminence Delta 10Bs listed on here, so I just replaced both.Īnother thread suggested putting foam inside, but I was too eager to hear the new speakers! One of the speakers sounded like it was being run through a distortion pedal, the other was fine. Picked up a seismic audio 210 a couple weeks ago, a pretty new 8 ohm 400w version. There is used 410 cabs all over the place.įor anyone out there looking at these cabs. I would be careful and not invest much in Seismic.

My review on the power amp and empty 410 did not get posted when I gave it 4/5 stars.

I tried to post several and only one got through was regarding a set of coasters I bought for my 410. On thing that makes me upset with Seismic is that they will not post bad reviews of their equipment.

I returned the amp and they refunded the purchase price with no problem. A used QSC amp from ebay is a better option. I also ordered their biggest power amp but I was not impressed with the output, input sensitivity or options. Just make sure not to get the cheapest 410 seismic makes or you will wish you spent the extra $ on the nicer seismic speakers. The new Seismic top end speakers are pretty much the same thing. I have used the madison knights through hundreds of gigs with no problem. The Carvin I replaced with Madison knights when the speakers started to go out and blow. I have owned both a Carvin 810 and 2 15 inch Behringer cabs. It is better/equal to other low end cabs like Carvin and behringer. When comparing it to ampeg / avatar and other high end cabs there is a difference in tone but not much and not worth the additional cost unless your loaded. I added old Madison knights to the cab and I can crank the hell out of it without it making horrible noises. But it sounds good, cheap and I dont get upset when I damage it when moving it. I bought a empty 410 cab which is light but not the best quality.
